Serve, Grace, Grow: Three Keys to a Motivated Week
Monday Motivation: Three Keys to Kickstart Your Week
Good day, friends! Pete Kane here—Podcast Pete, your certified high-performance coach—coming to you for a fresh dose of Monday Motivation.
Now, you might know me from my “Pete on the Porch” series… except today, I’m not on the porch. Couldn’t quite figure it out this morning (technology and I had a little disagreement). But that’s okay, because this message is perfect no matter where we are.
Here’s the deal: every Monday and Wednesday, I’m bringing you motivation. Every Tuesday and Thursday, we’ll dive into marketing tips. Why? Because motivation fuels your why, and marketing fuels your how. Today, it’s all about your why—specifically, how to generate motivation instead of waiting for it to magically show up.
1. Serve Others
Today is 9/11, and I’m wearing my American flag shirt with pride. On this day, we remember the 3,000+ lives lost, and we honor our first responders who ran toward danger to serve others.
If you live with that kind of servant heart—putting others first while keeping yourself healthy—you’ll find incredible fulfillment. I saw this firsthand from two amazing speakers at our recent live event at Grace Church in Kennesaw: Alicia and Kimberly. Both serve through Rotary, through their teams, their community, and even globally.
Remember this: Serving others starts with serving yourself. If you’re not healthy, you can’t help anyone else.
2. Give Yourself Grace
We all face tough seasons. That’s why giving yourself grace is non-negotiable.
This point is special to me because my granddaughter, Ellison Grace Bear—yep, Grace—is my podcast producer. She’s 11, homeschooled, and already runs her own Spotify business. She inspired me to launch this podcast. And guess what? She works with ease where I sometimes struggle (see: porch technology!).
When life feels heavy, remember: Progress beats perfection. Speak kindly to yourself. Honor the season you’re in. And yes, give yourself some grace.
3. Prioritize Growth
Kids are naturally curious—they learn something new every single day. Somewhere along the way, many adults stop doing that… and when we stop learning, we stop growing.
So keep your mind and heart open. Seek out personal growth like your life depends on it—because in many ways, it does. Growth keeps you energized, engaged, and excited.
Here’s your takeaway for the week:
Serve with a generous heart.
Give yourself grace when you stumble.
Commit to lifelong growth.
We’ll be back tomorrow with marketing tips to help you live your best life, leverage podcasting, and think with a global mindset. Until then, be bold and make it happen.
