Meet Joel Crumbley
M.F.A. | Video Editor at In Touch Ministries | Author
From the moment Joel Crumbley first stepped onto a stage with his B.F.A. in Theatre Performance, he knew storytelling would become his lifelong calling. Touring the country as an actor and director in beloved productions like Dora The Explorer LIVE!, Junie B. Jones, and School House Rock LIVE!, Joel discovered something powerful — that stories can inspire, teach, and empower children from every walk of life. Through performance, he helped young audiences express themselves freely, explore their imaginations, and see how creativity can truly change the world.
His passion for storytelling evolved when he pursued an M.F.A. in Film Production, where he learned that while technical mastery is important, it’s the heart — the creative vision — that gives any story its true impact. That belief guided him into the world of professional media, where he gained invaluable experience at Warner Media Studios (Turner Broadcasting), working with networks like TNT, TBS, and HBO.
For nearly three years, Joel brought his creative energy to Cartoon Network, refining his craft as a video editor and deepening his love for storytelling designed specifically for young audiences. Today, Joel continues that mission as the Lead Editor for “Wondermore,” the children’s program at In Touch Ministries in Atlanta — a role that perfectly blends his heart for kids, faith, and creative storytelling.
Beyond the studio, Joel invests his time in the community, mentoring and guiding children to grow mentally and spiritually. His dedication to uplifting young minds doesn’t stop there — he’s currently working on his first children’s picture book, a project that reflects his belief that every child deserves to see themselves in stories that spark imagination, kindness, and joy.
For Joel, children’s media isn’t just a career — it’s a calling. It’s about creating safe, meaningful, and joy-filled spaces where kids can laugh, learn, and believe in their own power to make a difference.
